Within the framework of a business trip to the United Arab Emirates, to attend the Global Business Forum on ASEAN, on the morning of December 9, 2021 (local time), Mr. Dato Lim Jock Hoi – Secretary General of ASEAN Mr. Romeo Arca Jr., Deputy General Representative and delegation of ASEAN Secretariat visited the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2020 Dubai.
Visiting the Vietnam Exhibition Hall, ASEAN Secretary General Dato Lim Jock Hoi congratulated Vietnam on its outstanding achievements in socio-economic and foreign affairs in recent years, especially the fact that Vietnam has ensured successfully assumed the position of ASEAN Chair 2020 and a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2020-2021 term, affirming Vietnam’s active, effective and responsible role, contribution and responsibility to the mechanism. cooperation in ASEAN in particular and the international community in general.
The Secretary-General enjoyed and appreciated the unique traditional music performance program presented by the artists of the Vietnam National Academy of Music (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), and dedicated time to visit, learn about culture, country, people, special agricultural products (coffee, rice ST 25…), achievements in science, technology and technology (weekly economic model) complete, Nano Dragon satellite, digital transformation…) are displayed and introduced at the Vietnam Exhibition House.
On this occasion, the representative of the Vietnam Exhibition House reported to the Secretary-General on the activities of cooperation, exchange and cultural exchange with ASEAN countries that Vietnam has implemented in the past time in the framework of the exhibition. At the same time, in the recent past, within the framework of EXPO 2020 Dubai, the Vietnam Exhibitor actively supported and responded to the initiatives chaired by ASEAN Exhibitors in general, as well as supporting programs and activities. Activities organized by ASEAN countries in particular, thereby contributing to enhancing the efficiency and quality of propaganda, promotion and introduction of the image of the country, people and culture of ASEAN countries.
