At the meeting, the two sides discussed the intentions of ASEAN member states at EXPO 2020 Dubai such as using the same ASEAN passport for visitors who have visited all the Exhibitors of the countries. member within the framework of EXPO 2020, co-organizing ASEAN Day at EXPO 2020 Dubai (expected on December 13)… As an active member in ASEAN, Vietnam has always actively participated in activities of the bloc and EXPO 2020. Dubai is not an exception. Notably, following the Prime Minister’s initiative on strengthening the identity of the ASEAN cultural community, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently issued a guide on how all institutions should be able to participate in the process. Government offices will conduct the flying of the ASEAN flag at the headquarters. The Ministry also promulgated the Action Plan for the period 2021-2025 to develop and implement the goals of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) and the ASEAN Communication and Promotion Plan for the 2021-2025 period.

EXPO 2020 Dubai was held in the Middle East and hosted by the UAE, attracting 191 countries and a number of prestigious international organizations to participate.
Also on this occasion, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa introduced to Mr. Lee Yoong Yoong about the display contents of the Vietnam Exhibition House which will be officially opened on October 1, 2021. Mr. Lee appreciated the efforts of the Vietnam Exhibitor Organizing Committee in organizing exhibitions and participating in joint activities of EXPO 2020 Dubai. In addition, he also invited the House of Vietnam to send a representative to attend the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Exhibition House at the upcoming EXPO 2020 Dubai.
